Anja is a postgraduate student at Curtin University. As a Mongolist, her doctorate relates to this country, where animals have for centuries played a key role in lifestyle, social values, kinship, mythology, ritual and belief, and economy. Her research crosses art/anthropology/history and concerns traditional symbolisms, and cultural self-representation under the influences of Soviet and post-Soviet ideologies.
