James Innes

James Innes is an Anthropologist and Manager, Research and Monitoring Social Science Program within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. He is also a research task leader within the CRC Reef. As GBRMPA's principal social scientist, James has extensive experience with the management and application of policy oriented social science research for  marine and coastal management, and associated land based NRM management issues and policy initiatives. More broadly, James has undertaken research on the topic of Indigenous co-management of marine resources and his PhD examines the social dynamics between communities of interest in conflict over species management issues in the GBR.
