Dr Linda Williams
Senior Lecturer in Cultural History & Critical Theory
School of Art, RMIT University

Linda's research interest is in histories of human-animal relations
with particular reference to the process sociology of Norbert Elias.
Along with running an undergraduate course: 'Art & The Politics of the
Environment' she is also developing the 'Arts and Sustainability Research
Group' at RMIT University. Linda has curated a major exhibition at the
RMIT University Gallery "The Idea of the Animal" for October, 2006 which
will also feature a public forum on Animals, Philosophy and Critical
Theory called "Rethinking the Animal".
