Siobhan O'Sullivan

Siobhan O'Sullivan

Siobhan has researched and worked in the area of animal rights and welfare for five years. Her 2001 honours thesis examined the relationship between industrialised animal agriculture and modern property rights.

Subsequently Siobhan worked for an animal welfare lobby organisation, is currently a director of the Australian and New Zealand Federation of Animal Societies (ANZFAS) and a member of the Animal Research Review Panel (ARRP) advising the NSW Minister for Agriculture on animal research issues.

Siobhan continues to specialise in animal issues. Commencing in 2003, her PhD will focus on how the interests of working animals are protected legislatively.

Working thesis title: Towards a Labour Theory of Animal Rights.
